What it involves
The recipient sits immersed to the hips in a comfortably warm medicated liquid for a set time; the gentle, sustained heat relieves pain and spasm in the pelvis, perineum and lower back.

- Vata disorders of the lower body

- acute bleeding piles
- pregnancy (as advised)
