Method

  1. Simmer rinsed lentils with turmeric and ginger for 18–20 minutes.
  2. Temper black pepper briefly in the ghee and fold through.
  3. Salt, add lemon, and serve hot — ideally before 7pm.
Agni note. An early, warm, modest dinner protects the overnight digestive cycle for every dosha.
